My name is Kammie Kasten and I’m a marketer that believes marketers are due for a reckoning. Despite endless amounts of data and insights at our fingertips, advertising and marketing have become increasingly homogeneous instead of customized–trending toward the safe (ineffective) middle. Channel experts focused on quantity over quality, impressions over engagement. And to obscure the lack of substance, they hide behind buzzwords and vanity metrics, to the frustration of business owners everywhere.

But marketing is more powerful when it is fueled by intent—the who and why, not just the where and when. Dynamic change begins when we use the available resources to not just find where the user is, but understand who they are and what they need from us–to craft brands, messages, and marketing plans that not only reduce waste, but add value.
